Solymar

Mykonos

The space harmoniously combines past and present, keeping the island’s architectural identity alive through a contemporary aesthetic. The design aims to create a welcoming summer atmosphere that embraces the visitors and immerses them in Cycladic culture. The primary goal of the redesign was to ensure the restaurant’s complete integration with its natural surroundings.

Coarse textures, natural materials, earthy tones, and rope details were selected to create a warm and familiar ambiance. Upon entry, visitors are met with an impressive art installation, featuring the iconic blue gorilla sculpture by Richard Orlinski as a central element. This artwork adds a bold presence to the space, inviting guests into a dynamic experience from the very first moment.

Inside, the design is equally striking, with a custom-made organic-shaped reception desk serving as the focal point. The space includes a spacious bar, a preparation kitchen, and furnishings that exude comfort.
