Daios Cove Collection Suites

Crete

The distinctive features of the Cretan landscape provided the inspiration for ELASTIC in the design of the "Collection" Suites at Daios Cove. The design connects the organic landscape with the existing structure, combining natural forms with architectural lines. The interior design study aimed to translate the cove's organic forms into the rooms' aesthetics. Curved lines frame the geometries, creating a fluid and harmonious composition.

The Cretan textile art served as the primary design guideline and reference point for the cultural heritage of the region. This reference is reflected in the weaving patterns of the loom, as well as in the choice of fabrics with special weaving elements. The choice of natural, earthy tones in fabrics and coatings, wood, stone and marble, creates a sense of familiarity while exuding a subtle luxury, adapted to the environment. Each suite attempts to create a balanced dialogue between the interior and exterior spaces, reinforcing the strong link with the surrounding bay.
