Megara
The study concerns the complete internal and external reconstruction of the building facilities of the Megara Motorist Service Stations (MSS), in both directions of the motorway, towards Corinth and towards Athens. The architectural scope inside the building includes the redesign of the entrance and reception area, the restaurant, a separate café area, and the mini market, accompanied by all auxiliary functions (restrooms, kitchen and preparation areas, storage rooms, offices, and technical spaces).
Externally, all the façades of the building were redesigned, pergolas and partition elements were added, and the outdoor seating areas were expanded with the construction of a deck. The roof of the higher cylindrical section of the interior atrium was modified, and an external thermal insulation system (thermal façade) was installed.
The functional zones are located at the rear of the building, ensuring a clear operational separation from the service and sales areas, which are organized according to their specific functions. The seating areas are differentiated internally between the restaurant and the café, while a unified outdoor seating area is created, accessible from both functions.
