Built on the slope of a hill just outside Hersonissos near Heraklion, Elios Hill Sun-Kissed Happiness hotel was a challenging project involving the complete reconstruction of an existing hotel complex from the 1980s. Lush gardens with native vegetation embrace the scattered buildings, offering privacy to guests and fostering a sense of connection with the dense natural landscape.

Narrow alleys and a neighborhood-like atmosphere reminiscent of traditional Cretan villages, with courtyards and small squares, form the core identity of the site. These elements were respectfully preserved and enriched with a contemporary touch.

The hotel’s reception welcomes guests through a threshold, leading to a central courtyard that unfolds across two levels. On the first level are the restaurant and the pool bar, while the second level features the main and children's pools, which are the heart of the complex’s daily life.
