Anthology of Athens

Αnthology of Athens

In the heart of Athens, where myth intertwines with the modern urban landscape, directly facing the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch, the Anthology of Athens emerges as a contemporary expression of the city’s enduring character. Inspired by the myth of Deucalion, where stones cast upon the earth were transformed into people, the design, envisioned by ELASTIC, redefines materiality as something alive and sensorial.

Classical references are not merely echoed but reinterpreted with a sculptural clarity that speaks to the present. The architectural language is one of precision, with façades composed of clean lines and geometric purity, engaging in a quiet, deliberate dialogue with the classical surroundings and linking past and present with subtlety and purpose.

The composition of the façade, structured through newly introduced balconies and their framings, follows the principles of the golden ratio, applied to vertical elements that serve both a functional and aesthetic role.
