Paradox house, Paiania, Klab Architecture

A house of 250m2 in an almost rural area part of Athens Paiania, was designed in a plot of 500m2. As the first house that was going to be built, but not the last in the area we had to consider future developments but start from an almost white paper.

First we consider the excavation as an archaeological site. Then we tried to protect it by fencing it.

We figure that we should try to design walls in the ground floor that would either allow light and views to penetrate the house or enclose the house from the outside. We designed as Greek rural architecture would do protecting the house from the north open it to the south but with the flexibility of a stone wall.
