Alkyon Hotel Skiathos

Restoring the timeless identity of the building.

Hotel Alkyon in Skiathos is a project of N. Hatzimihalis & Heide Hatzimihali – Schwartz from the mid 70’s, based on the Xenia Hotels model, constructed in a prominent location on the seaside road of the new Skiathos port.

The renovation follows the recent change of ownership and it refers to the modernization and the update of the hotel, with the aim to reclaim the important role it used to have in Skiathos’ tourism. The multiple modifications that the complex had gone through on its 43 years of operation, had changed substantially the buildings architecture.

Our main goal was to reestablish the buildings original and enduring architectural identity, showcasing its architecture and at the same time incorporating the new amenities that were asked from the hotel owners.
