These luxurious villas are located on a property of southeast to northwest orientation on the highest point of Drakopoulata village, offeringa unique and breathtaking view of the vast valley below as well as to the surrounding traditional Kefalonian villages. The locationof this property allows one to experience not only the natural beauty of Kefalonia, but also its heritage and culturalaspects as it is located within 5 minutes drive to the village of Agia Efimia and only 15 minutes from the stunning famous Myrtos Beach.Originally in 1900 these villas were actually two part-ground floor residency that was knocked down and abandoned during the hugeKefalonian earthquake of 1953.
Later on building permit was obtained for these villas in August 2009, which led to their constructionin 2011. Nevertheless, in 2014 the two villas were fully completed with architectural flair and strategic views and are rented as luxuryvillas since 2015. Due to the slope of the site, the main entrance is located on the lower level along with the living room, a fireplace, thekitchen which is equipped with a traditional style wood oven, the dining area and one WC.
This homey environment is created throughthe installation of several materials used by the local people from years ago. In fact, there was an area to the ground floor of the villasthat was actually a place where the locals would step on grapes to produce their own wine! Nevertheless, these older elements havebeen intertwined with modern and updated amenities to achieve a perfect balance between the two worlds.
