The farmers republic project is all about providing a unique market environment. Its basic services are: the farmers market, the grocery and an open plan kitchen. The industrial building (1.200m²) that was selected is developed on a single level.

The goal was to create an indoors market where European standards and Greek culture would be combined in order to highlight the natural product.

Guided by the available natural light, we placed the farmers market at the south side of the building. The main entrance as well as the kitchen creates a meeting point – a plaza - in the middle of the market.

Each side of the kitchen serves a different function (drinks, food display, cooking). The “food” side is designed to resemble a homelike kitchen and it can also be used for cooking seminars.
