The KIKU restaurant, the first Japanese restaurant in Greece opened its doors for the first time to the Athenian audience in 1993 at Demokritou Street, in Kolonaki.
The restaurant changed ownership in 2011; Lifespace Office by Sissy Feida & Partners, in addition to bringing in new life to the restaurant, took over to further develop aesthetically its quality and uniqueness.
The effort was very successful resulting in the creation of the summer KIKU in Mykonos and in the creation of KIKU Seaside in Vouliagmeni.
Some important issues need to be resolved in Vouliagmeni.
-The particular form of the building, the area is separated in 2 parts, Interior and exterior.
-The issue of privacy; as the building is situated on a busy road in the region with a lot of traffic and many pedestrians; many entertainment businesses of various styles are also present in the neighborhood; it was therefore necessary to isolate the place.
-The correct functional and decorative lighting.
The main objective of the new site was to combine the unique atmosphere and discreet luxury with strong Japanese elements of the winter space.
