The recent completion of the challenging rehabilitation, reconstruction and modernization of the historical building of Piraeus, highlights the value of one of the most important architectural monuments of modern Greece, ready to make part again of the city's social and cultural life.

The Piraeus Municipal Theatre is one of the most significative examples of public architecture in the 19th century in Greece and at the same time, as academician E. Fessa-Emmanouel describes, "the most important theatrical building of modern Greece".
